Ares (Mars, in Latin), was the son of Zeus and Hera and, therefore, belongs to the second generation of the Olympics, unlike his sisters Hebe and Eileithyia, which are secondary deities. From the Homeric age, Ares appears as the spirit of Battle, who enjoys killing and blood. In the case of the Trojan War, fought mostly in favor of the Trojans. However, as it cares little for the justice of the cause he defends, at times helping the Achaeans. Armed from head to toe, usually accompanying demons that serve as squires, particularly Deimos and Phobos (Fear and Terror), which are his children, and also Eridan (Strife) and Enyo.
